Multichain ATH Token: Ethereum vs. Arbitrum

The ATH token exists on both the Ethereum and Arbitrum networks, serving different purposes within the Aethir ecosystem: For Edge Users, the main chain is Arbitrum Layer 2:
All Edge Operations: All Edge device operations, including mining, staking, claiming, and withdrawing rewards, are conducted on the Arbitrum network.
ETH Gas Fees: ETH is required to pay for gas fees associated with transactions on the Arbitrum network (staking, claiming, withdrawing). You will need to have ETH in your Edge embedded wallet to cover these fees. Use Squid to bridge ETH and ATH
Rewards Claiming: Edge ATH rewards claiming takes seven days to process on the Arbitrum network.
Other Functions on Ethereum Mainnet (Canonical Token Contract):
Airdrops: Initial token distributions and airdrops occur on the Ethereum mainnet.
Staking on https://stake.aethir.com/: ATH staking for governance and other purposes is done on Ethereum.
Centralized Exchanges (CEXs): ATH is primarily traded on centralized exchanges on the Ethereum network.
This dual-chain approach allows for efficient scaling and cost-effectiveness while maintaining compatibility with the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
